Shailaja has over 17 years of experience in the Information Technology with expertise in software development, statistical techniques, quality assurance methodologies and conducting trainings and workshops. She completed Business Analytics and Intelligence course with IIM, Bangalore. She is currently working as Program Manager for Big Data Analytics program in Data Center and Analytics Lab in IIM Bangalore. She worked on projects in food processing industry, manufacturing, social media analytics, Healthcare analytics and assessment framework for an NGO, agriculture and customer analytics. She is currently working on application of analytics in agriculture sector and how the data from various sources can be used to create advisory system for farmers. She designed and conducted trainings, workshops and certification programs in business analytics, project management and usage of quantitative methods in software project management and also on six sigma methodologies, lean concepts, basic statistics and predictive analytics. She co- authored two papers in healthcare analytics and retail analytics published in Harvard Business Review.
